Our History

Meares Williams has been serving Christchurch and Canterbury people and businesses for over 100 years.

Firm origins go back to 1873, when J S Williams commenced practice on his own account. In 1891 the practice was sold to Henry Osborne Devenish Meares. When J H Williams was taken into partnership in 1899, the firm became known as Meares Williams.
