Richard Burtt

Richard is a Notary Public and an experienced practitioner advising clients in business and private matters.  His expertise is in business law, commercial, rural & residential property, trusts, estates and succession planning. Richard holds directorships in two commercial property investment companies and is trustee of a number of trusts with diverse and significant commercial interests.

Richard has experience in High Court, District Court and at tribunal levels.

Richard is a past chairman of the Institute of Directors (Canterbury), a past member of the National Council of the Institute of Directors and a past member of the Canterbury Law Society Council.

Recent projects include:

• Restructuring and financing for an incorporated society on a proposed major transaction.
• Advisor and trustee for his many family trusts and companies
• Development and completion of a land subdivision
