Robert joined Meares Williams in 2017 after graduating from the University of Canterbury with an LLB and a BSc majoring in economics and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in October 2017.
Robert was the winner of the Canterbury-Westland Young Lawyer’s mooting competition in July 2018 and during his time at university he was the winner of the Canterbury University Negotiations competition twice.
Robert works primarily in civil litigation and has appeared as counsel in the District Court, Family Court, and as junior counsel in the High Court.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys travel and has previously competed at world debating competitions in Malaysia and Greece. Robert also enjoys spending time with family and friends, and maintaining fitness at the gym.
